hey filmmaker,
Tired of gatekeepers? Me too.
THAT'S WHY IT'S IMPERATIVE TO NAVIGATE THIS BUSINESS AS A PROFESSIONAL & NOT A CREATIVE.
What's the difference? Creative filmmakers create. Professional filmmakers generate. Consistently. And it's not because of WHO they know but rather literally WHAT they know.
WE'VE WORKED WITH:
is this you?
YOU...
01. Found Your Story, But Are Struggling to Find a Way "In"
Felt. We've all been there. Not only have we created and opened our own doors, but we've received countless invitations to doors we hadn't even knocked on. Your film should create opportunities, not make you question your career choice. Our coaching can show you how.
02. Don't Know How to Attract Execs or Make Your Film "Marketable"
Contrary to popular belief, you CAN secure deals without an agent and films CAN make money, even in the current climate, when you know how to position and market them. Through our services and resources, we reveal the key ingredients to a successful and profitable film and show you how to apply them to your own project.
03. Are Unsure of How to Secure Funding Outside of Film Grants
From specialized business grants to corporate funding, filmmakers are not limited to funds specific to film when their businesses are properly leveraged & structured. We believe that indie filmmakers are businesses, and should benefit as such, which is why we've created resources specifically dedicated to funding, financial literacy, & business + credit building.
Who Are We, Anyway?
Our Mission:

Hey there!
I'm Tamara S. Hall, your Film Expert & Creative Business Mentor
Tamara is an award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, and experienced media professional who's raised and acquired over $100,000, including business grants & film deals, for her short films, which tackle timely topics in unique, genre-bending ways, all the while centering Black women. Her recent film, “Black Butterflies,” premiered on BET Networks, won “Best Short Screenplay” in the 2022 Atlanta Film Festival, and was featured on Coverfly’s The Red List as Top 1%. Tamara worked for ten years in the TV business at renowned networks such as HBO, Paramount, and NBCUniversal.
Driven by her underprivileged upbringing in an oppressive environment, Tamara is passionate about motivating and equipping professionals with the tools, resources, and mindset to "get to the bag," and overcome and succeed.
LB, VP, BET Networks
"As a television executive with over 25 years of experience, I can attest that Tamara 'understood the assignment.' Her professionalism and leadership stood out among the other candidates who were also pitching their projects. Her creativity, communication skills, and willingness to listen and quickly adapt, impressed me the most. Tamara is both a leader and team player and stood out amongst our film directors."
Patrick M, SVP, HBO
"Outside of being an incredible resource for our Operations group, Tamara was instrumental in planning and coordinating the 300+ staff move from 42nd Street to Hudson Yards (NYC) following the company merger. It was a privilege to have supported not only her career at HBO, but her work as a filmmaker, becoming a Producer for all of her short films. I am huge fan of Tamara and her work and look forward to her future acceptance speeches."
Shawn S, Director, Comcast
"Tamara has tremendous energy and is an incredible resource. She always has an efficient strategy lined up to make her projects go smoothly and is excellent in communicating her ideas to the rest of the team. Tamara’s communication skills, collaborative nature, and her proactive leadership make her a promising talent."
